“A Spiritual Biography”
The story of our soul continually unfolds before us. At times we consciously make an effort to cultivate our spiritual life. And at other times perhaps we give it less importance. Recognizing the truth of our spiritual heritage, however, can help us to draw closer to that infinite and indwelling source. Every life has a story beyond the events that lie between birth and death. There is ever present the eternal and immortal spirit that propels us on our journey.
“Life is the attainment of the fulfillment of spiritual ideals. Without the realization of the ideals of our spiritual self, our life remains empty of true peace, contentment and happiness. Peace of soul, or bliss, is the supreme goal of our life.”
Swami Premananda
101 Noble Qualities
“Thou art the imperishable, the supreme Being, the one Reality to be known. Thou art the sublime refuge of this universe. Thou art the changeless, the law of the universe. I realize that thou art the cosmic Personality.” (11:18)
Translation by Swami Premananda
Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita: The Revelation of the Supreme Self
“Within you exists a realm undiscovered, untouched—a realm not yet revealed to theology or science; not yet fully revealed to you. You know it exists in your consciousness, for it continually makes itself known: Silently dawning, gradually reaching into your own awareness with illuminations that will never diminish or disappear. It is the kingdom of your soul.”
