“Soul’s Gateway”

At this time of Palm Sunday and Passover, of Noruz and Spring festivals, there is something of a portal to enter, a threshold to cross. With the biblical reflections of Jesus’ entrance into the city that welcomes him, the road is strewn with palms and the air filled with shouts and praise, yet, greater challenges await him. We explore the symbolism of the soul’s journey in this embodied life as depicted in the scriptures and experienced in our own lives.

“Uninterrupted progress is rare in the spiritual life. The widening experience of meditation seems more often to come in cycles. There may be intermittent times of questions, doubts and difficulties when we feel our efforts are all uphill. Such times are potentially good for us as long as we persevere with faith and make sincere efforts to pass through them. They may inspire us to find better habits, higher and finer ways and fresh outlooks.”

Reflections on Still Waters

”All great revealers of truth, sons of God, avatars, messiahs and saviors, have realized and revealed the truth of the immortality of soul. Spring brings an unforgettable reminder of this glorious fulfillment in the perfection of God. All nature is reawakened at this time of year and once again lifts its heart to the Creator. Once again the entire world arouses to the ideal of the supreme goal of spiritual aspiration and every heart seeks God’s guidance out of the darkness of ignorance into the light of wisdom, out of the bondage of the foolish superstition of death into the limitless freedom of the inherent light of eternal soul.”
