Kriya Brochure
The cosmic prana is the infinite manifesting power of the universe. This life energy is Self-revealing in human consciousness as the ultimate source of all existence. It vitalizes the body, purifies the mind and liberates the soul. It unites us with the cosmic consciousness. Live in the awareness of its sustaining power.
“The one consciousness-bearing life force is ‘Prana.’ Prana is the ‘breath of life,’ because there is no life without it; yet Prana is not breathing per se. It is what animates all existence and all manifestations of life. All the cosmic space (the Akash) as well as vital forces such as gravity, magnetism and electricity evolve out of Prana. From movements higher and finer than nerve currents, to thoughts and actions, to the lowest and grossest — all are manifestations of Prana.”
The Breath of God and Pranyam
Swami Kamalananda
“As the indwelling Prana, the life-force, ascends through Susumna, it overcomes the thought, the desire, and the impulses of the physical body at Muladhar; renounces the concept, the propensity, and the attachment for sense-identification at Sadhisthan; transcends the idea of self-limitation, self-impurity, and selfishness at Manipur; realizes universality, harmony, and love at Anahata; receives the vision of self-perfection, power, and blissfulness at Visuddha; and finally, at Prajna-Ajna, becomes established on the self during Savikalpa Samadhi.”
